How are steel rails classified?

Since the invention of steel rail in 1767, it has gone through more than 230 years. With the development of railway technology, the section of steel rail has also gone through the process from flat plate to T-shape and then to U-shape. According to different uses, modern rails can be divided into three categories:

1. There are 8 kg/m, 9kg/m, 12 kg/m, 15 kg/m, 18 kg/m, 22 kg/m, 24 kg/m, 30 kg/m8 light rail for mine railways.

2. Heavy rail for passenger and freight railway. The national standard mainly uses 38 kg/m, 43 kg/m, 50 kg/m and 60 kg/m four types of heavy rail.

3. There are currently four specifications of crane rail for crane rail: QU70, QU80, QU100 and QU120.

The first type of common rail refers to rails with pulling strength not less than 800MPa;

The second type of high-strength rail refers to rails with tensile strength not less than 900MPa.
