Welding voltage and current.  Appropriate welding current is a necessary condition to stimulate flash and keep the flash process stable. Usually, current density (current passing through unit butt joint surface) is used to express the strength of welding specifications.  The current density of flash welding is usually 10-25 amperes per square millimeter. The current density is too small and the heating speed is low, so flash cannot be excited quickly or the flash process is very unstable.  If the current density is too high, the flash process will be too intense, leaving too deep a crater on the welding end face. Burning speed, feeding speed.  The burning rate of flash welding is determined by factors such as welding current density, preheating degree and chemical composition of the workpiece.  During flash welding, heat is generated at the contact surface of the two workpieces, the temperature of the workpieces increases with the increase of flash time, and the burning speed increases with the increase of the temperature of the workpieces.  In order to keep the flash process continuous and stable, the workpiece feeding speed must be adapted to the burning speed.  When the feeding speed is higher than the burning speed, the two contact surfaces of the workpiece will be "short-circuited".  As the burning speed increases with the temperature of the workpiece, the workpiece should move at an accelerated speed and its motion curve should approach parabola. rail cutting machine
