Henan Province – On November 15, 2025, Henan Zongxiang Heavy Industry Import & Export Co., Ltd successfully completed the shipment of a 2,000-ton order of premium steel rails to Vietnam. The batch, consisting primarily of QU80 (80 kg/m) and QU100 crane rails together with UIC60 (60E1) standard rails, left Zongxiang’s production base in Xinxiang and is scheduled to arrive at Haiphong Port by mid-December.

This order marks the third major export contract Zongxiang has fulfilled for Vietnamese clients in 2025 alone, reflecting the company’s growing reputation in Southeast Asia’s rapidly expanding railway and industrial infrastructure market. The Vietnamese customer, a large state-owned steel and engineering conglomerate, selected Zongxiang after a rigorous international bidding process that included competitors from China, Europe, and India.

Mr. Li Wei, Export Director of Zongxiang Heavy Industry, stated: “Vietnam’s railway network is undergoing significant modernization, especially the North-South high-speed railway project and numerous new metro and industrial crane systems. Our rails meet both Chinese GB/T 699-2015 and international UIC860 standards, with excellent straightness (?0.5 mm/m), high wear resistance, and proven performance in tropical climates. These factors gave our Vietnamese partner full confidence.”

The exported rails feature:

· QU80 & QU100 crane rails: mainly used in large port gantry cranes and steel-mill overhead cranes

· UIC60 railway rails: designated for main-line and heavy-haul freight corridors

· Material grade: U71Mn and 900A hot-rolled steel

· All products passed SGS third-party inspection and carry mill test certificates (MTC)

To ensure safe ocean transport, Zongxiang adopted enhanced packaging: every rail was wrapped with anti-rust oil, secured by steel straps at eight points, and loaded into 20-foot and 40-foot open-top containers with customized wooden cradles to prevent shifting during the 20-day sea journey.

Since 2020, Zongxiang has exported more than 50,000 tons of steel rails and accessories to Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The company maintains a dedicated Southeast Asia sales team fluent in English and Vietnamese, providing door-to-door logistics coordination and after-sales technical support.

Industry analysts note that Vietnam’s railway investment is expected to exceed US$20 billion in the coming decade, creating sustained demand for high-quality track materials. Zongxiang’s ability to offer competitive pricing (approximately 8–12 % lower than European suppliers while maintaining identical quality) combined with short lead times (45–60 days) has positioned the company as a preferred supplier in the region.

As the containers bearing the distinctive red-and-white Zongxiang logo depart Xinxiang, they carry not only steel rails but also the company’s commitment to supporting Vietnam’s infrastructure ambitions and strengthening practical cooperation between Chinese and Vietnamese enterprises.
