The L-Bolt anchor bolts are used to attach sill plates to concrete or masonry foundations, provide anchorage for light weight post bases and for general anchorage to concrete.
J Bolt Anchor
The J-bolt anchor, also known as a rounded bolt, is a type of fastener that shares similarities with the L-bend anchor bolt. It is widely used in construction projects and is recognizable by its distinctive J-shaped appearance.
This type of anchor is characterized by its unique design. The shorter leg of the anchor bolt is bent in a small U shape, creating the characteristic J-like curve. This curved shape provides additional stability and strength to the anchor, ensuring a secure connection between the bolt and the structure it is anchoring.
Eye Bolt
An eye bolt is a screw with a loop on one end and threads on the other end. Eye bolts are commonly used to attach cables to objects, to facilitate lifting. Eye bolts made by bending a rod or wire into a loop are only suitable for light duty applications, as heavy loads can cause the eye to open. For high loads, eye bolts with forged or welded loops should be chosen, as they can withstand loads up to the tensile strength of the material of which they are made.
Care must be taken when lifting heavy objects. Standard forged eye bolts should not be used with angular lifts. If an angular lift is required, a properly seated shoulder pattern machinery eye bolt must be used.
Round U Bolt
U-Bolt is an anchor bolt bent in the shape of a “U” with the top of both legs threaded. U-Bolts are most often used to fasten a pipe to a structure.
U-Bolt traditional shape with specific diameter for snug fit around a round pipe.
